Fine-art pet photography, with calm, unhurried studio sessions and finished artwork to enjoy in your home.

The expressions you know so well

The curious head tilt, the thoughtful look, the familiar grin. It’s often the smallest things that make a photograph feel unmistakably like your pet.

I take time to notice those details and create portraits that reflect their individual character. Together, we’ll choose your favourite photographs and turn them into artwork that feels at home in your space.

Time to feel at home

Your pet doesn’t need to sit perfectly or know how to pose. There’s time to settle into the studio, explore and take breaks whenever they need them.

I adapt the session to their pace, patiently looking for the expressions and moments that show their character. Before we meet, we’ll talk about your pet and what you’d love from their portraits, so you feel comfortable and prepared too.

Testimonials

Working with James was an absolute joy. He was very patient and calm allowing my dog to get used to his home and studio even testing out the flash and the clicking noises from the camera before we started. My dog often hides when hearing anything resembling a bang.

The resulting photographs are stunning. My - not so confident hair shedding constantly - rescue dog JJ has been captured beautifully. Who knew her eyes are so mesmerising.

Thank you James. I highly recommend you.

Clair, JJ's owner
